Today I am helping phone households to promote and convince people to get out and vote!
It will hopefully be an interesting experience, as i have never done this before.
I have a massive long list (Read, 64) of people who i have to phone. I will then be updated via e-mail when people on my list have voted, and those who haven’t i have to call back later to “remind” them.

It will be an interesting experience, and i may or may not update this accordingly throughout the day, seeing as i will be sitting here talking to random people all day!

Im going to start calling people now! hopefully they will all be awake and not get angry at me!

11:39 AM:
Finished Calling everyone on my list (64 people)
31 had no answer
4 were busy
6 were reported voted before i could call them
2 numbers didnt exist
1 someone answered who was underage and said their parents were “out”
1 answered and said they were “busy cooking”
and 10, TEN of those people hung up on me half-way through my little speech!
WTF?! Why would you hang up on someone? At least say that you aren’t interested or that you are “cooking” or some lame excuse like that!

Starting second round of calls

1:20 PM:
Completed second round of calls.
Mostly no answers
2 people said that they would vote
and one person interrupted my little speech with “Im too busy for this” And hung up.
I hope people that that aren’t the types to bitch about the politics when its all done. Grrr Its not that hard to spend 20-35 minutes driving out and voting!!

8:00 PM:
Voting Polls just closed. Now all we cna do is wait and hope, and then hopefully party!

Just got home from the Election party! The Good guys won! YES! Congratulations Jane! ! So awesome!
