I enjoy making posts about random things, they are usually quite informative, but at the same time they dont take hours of my time to write up and present.
So, i think that this is the second in a line of “random things” posts.

Downloading and Playing Flash Games Offline.
There are a few ways to download flash games from the net.
1) look inside the page’s source code and find the direct link to the game file on the site.
2) wait for the game to load in your browser and later get it from the temporary files folder of your browser.
3) Use flashget to download flash games to your Hard drive, then just chose to run them in firefox.
4) Use Firefox’s AdBlock extension (Ctrl + Shift + V to open the Blockable items on the page) to copy the URL of the component you wish to download and download it using your favorite download manager. Thanks to: (Chetan Thaker) for this idea.
5) Mac users: use iswiff
6) File2HD.com
Heres how it works:
1. Go to the page with the flash game you want to download.
2. Copy the page URL and paste it into File2HD.
3. Set ‘Filter’ to ‘Objects’ option and click on ‘Get Files’ button.
4. Next, File2HD should retrieve the direct link to the game file.
5. Right click on the link an use ‘Save Link As’ option to save the game to your computer.
Playing the games offline:
1. Download and install FlashOffliner.
2. Once you have FlashOffliner up and running, you should see a new icon in the taskbar. Right click on the icon to see the list of available games and program options.
3. The first thing you need to do is click on the ‘Create New Flash Offliner Package’ and then point it to the downloaded file. Then you will be asked to name your new game and for a couple of more optional details. At the end it should create game_name.fop file for you.
4. Again right click on the FlashOffliner icon and this time select the ‘Install FlashOffliner Option’. Point the app to the newly created game_name.fop file to “install” the game.
5. This will install the game and add it to your FlashOffliner games. See screenshot below.
Great thanks to Makeuseof.com for this handy guide.Click on source below either of the quotes to go to Their page on how to do this, which includes some pictures for help.

How to Freeze and Break a Lock
step 1: Supplies
the supplies you’ll need
- 1 standard padlock
-2 cans of compressed air
the kind used to blow the dust out of you computer-1 hammer
step 2:Attach you lock to a secure latch
Insure that your lock is attached to a secure latch as we’ll be striking it with a hammer.
step 3: Spray the lock with the compressed air
First, turn the air canister upside down and begin to spray the lock. By turning it upside down you’re actually spraying 1,1,1-Trifluoroethane which cools the metal lock to -67 degrees fahrenheit! Frost will immediately begin to from on and around the lock.
step 4: Strike the lock with a hammer
When the compressed air cans are empty, very carefully and very forcefully strike the lock with a hammer. The lock should either shatter off the post completely , or fracture around the post!
Congratulations! You’ve smashed off a frozen lock!

YMail
What is Ymail?
yMail is a standalone email client which can also be used as a spam cleaner for your existing email setup.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. yMail is completely free to download and use.Run from a memory stick?
Yes. Because you can easily tell yMail where your message store should be, it’s possible to run yMail from a removable drive. Nothing is stored on the host computer, it’s completely self-contained. Therefore, you can take yMail with you and simply copy your message folders back to your hard drive when you return.Privacy
yMail doesn’t render html, doesn’t load or display images, and completely ignores return-receipts, so it’s immune to web bugs and other tricks for tracking whether you opened an email or not. Your email might not look as pretty as the sender intended, but who cares? If you receive an email you simply have to see in all its glory, you can still view it in your web browser with a click. (I don’t recommend it, since this will open you up to all the nasties mentioned before.)Spam Filters
yMail’s spam filters use Bayesian techniques. You can show yMail which messages are spam and which are not (before you even download them to your computer!) and each time will adjust its filters to suit. After a few days, it will be able to sort mail quickly and efficiently without any input.Scanning
yMail can also be used as a mail scanner – you don’t have to use the email portion of the program, just use yMail to preview and automatically delete spam before downloading into your regular email software.Attachments
For security reasons, yMail doesn’t open or display attachments automatically. It warns you if you try and open attachments, and refuses point-blank to run executable files. It won’t render HTML emails, so it’s proof against spam which runs off and loads web bugs when you preview it (That’s one trick they use to confirm your email address is valid)
It also ignores receive notifications, javascript, vbscript and monkeyscript. Ok, I made the last one up, but if they invent a new kind of script or worm, yMail will continue to ignore it. If you DO receive an HTML formatted email you can click a special link to open the message in your default browser, but I recommend against this unless you know the sender AND know what they’re sending you. yMail will strip out all the html and show the text in the preview window anyway, so you’ll have a pretty good idea of the content AND you won’t see flashen-blinken-lights or advertising banners.

Cheers to Simon Haynes For creating this program. He is also a published author, check out his books here: Spacejock

What exactly did our people in politics think would most likely happen to our credit ranking when these people behave like poker players with our economic system? they’ve functioned like spoiled babies and ought to be relieved they are not swinging from lightposts due to their diabolical behaviour.
