More for More about Philip Zimbardo and the talk i went to last night

Last night i went to a presentation given by a man named Philip Zimbardo. Dr. Z, as some people call him, is one of the most famous Psychologists of our time. He has been a key researcher and at the head of his field in the study of aggression, evil, violence, terrorism, prison environments, and why good people turn bad.

His lecture was very insightful, and he talked very clearly and concisely. He also injected a fair amount of humor into his talk, which made everyone laugh.

I was fortunate enough to get my book signed by him, as well as buy a t-shirt (The Lucifer Effect) and get that signed as well.

More information can be found about Zimbardo here, and here.

His talk last night was focused around his new book “The Lucifer Effect” Which talks about why good people turn bad, and what normal people can do to prevent this, or even show the opposite side of that. How good people can be heroes.

More about his book can be found here

Zimbardo is most famous for his Stanford Prison Experiment, information of which can be found here

and more here.

Finally, i would like to end on an amusing note. Here is a movie that someone made, and Zimbardo actually shared it in his presentation.
